Tonight special is ...yeah... my favourite singer, whom we call Rock Princess, Avril Lavigne's show in Calgary. Even though I am not a fan of rock I am absolutely her fan. She is not only a beautiful girls but also a good singer and a talented compositor. Most of the songs she sings is written by her. Her voice is so amazing, strong and high and it just enough to make you want to sing with her.
I arrived at Saddle Dome ( near Stampete Station) around seven, and walked about 20 min to find the seat since I had never been to this stadium before. After this show I know that if there is another time I have to go to Saddle Dome, I will never buy any ticket of the first row where I thought it would provide a nice view for the show, but in fact, sitting at a low level row just ended up being blocked by people standing on the floor. A little more inconvenience was that it hurts my neck to turn to the right to the state.
Avril did not appear right at the beginning but an hour later from the time declared on the ticket. There was a rock band call "Boys like Girls" performing for a half hour at the beginning of the show. It was ridiculous that every time they complete a song, everybody yelling, I am sure that they want the princess to appear . After that boy band left, there was a half hour break. Just when I felt so bored that I put the headphone into my ear, wanting to turn on the iPod, the light went off, everybody yelled excitedly. And...."Hey hey, you... you.. I don't like you girl friend..." . There she was, my princess.
Honestly, I love her style, her blond hair with a little red hi-light, the punk dress in pink, and her lovely smoky eye. However, I am too old to try this style or this would give my mom a shock, sure you will be shocked too ( wanna bet?) . She started with her hit song, which is also my favourite of favourite. ( I did want to sing this to a person. This was a good time to sing and I was sure that person did not hear any)
I was counting how many song she was going to sing, but I forgot the counting after I counted to 5. I also wanted to take picture, but this time I was really disappointed in the camera function of my iPhone( It really suck, not enough light means a unseenable picture), so I gave up taking picture, just concentrated in enjoying the show. I was pretty proud that I can remember the lyrics of at least 3 of hers song which are Girlfriend, I’m with you, Complicated... any may be Sk8er boi, and the choruses of most of her songs. I almost lost my voice due to too much yelling and singing. I was also got a little headaches due to the noise there. I am still ok with the bass that could make my heart come out thank to my strong heart? I just don’t like the way people yelling specially the voice of the kids, but if they didn’t yell, there would be no fun at all. My Ear is still hurt now.
When Avril sang the rap part of Girlfriend, I knew this was the end of the show, which lasted for about an hour. Thank to my friend, I had a nice poster of her and a light pen painted “Avri Lavigne- The Best Damn Tour”, this is why I call tonight “the best damn night”.
